St Oswald's Advice Centre
St Oswald's Community Advice Centre has been operating in the church hall since 1989. It provides free, impartial and confidential information, guidance and support, to enable anyone in the area to gain access to medical, legal, local authority and national government services.
The team of experienced staff are on hand from 10.00am until 12 noon every Friday to give legal advice, advice on debt or benefits and even help to fill in those complex forms. We also acts as a referral agent for the Coventry Foodbank.
Launched by our former vicar Brian Doolan, the Advice Centre has helped hundreds of people every year for over 30 years and has become a valuable resource for the community.
Tile Hill Job Club
The Tile Hill Job Club which was so successful a few years ago has been revised, revamped and relaunched in anticipation of helping people who have lost their jobs as a result of Covid-19.
If you are stuggling for the internet access which is so necessary for job hunting, we can help. If you are trying to write a CV or fill in a four page application form on a 3.5 inch screen, we can help.
Our team of trained volunteers can also help you put together that vital CV, that killer cover letter or help you prepare for an interview. We can even help you with job searches or finding the training you need for that job you want.
The Job Club is open for drop-in on Tuesdays from 2.00pm until 4.00pm or you can call us on 07824 833717 or email firstname.lastname@example.org
Tile Hill Emergency FoodBank
We all wish that FoodBanks didn't need to exist, but the need is there and we are here. We are open from 10.00am to 12.00 noon every Tuesday. Please note that we are NO LONGER OPEN ON THURSDAYS.
Before you get here please make sure that you have your Foobank voucher and some form of ID. If you do not have a voucher but are in need you may come in anyway, we may still be able to help.
A new alternative to the FoodBank has recently opened at the old Youth Centre on Jardine Crescent. The Tile Hill Food Hub offers the opportunity to buy around £20 worth of food for £4, but you will need to register with them online first. The Food Hub is open on Wednesdays from 11.00am to 1.00pm.
